Aaron Hunt (b.1994) is an American composer who writes orchestral music, works for the stage, chamber music, and electroacoustic music. Originally from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Aaron grew up in in several parts of Tennessee and Maryland, and now resides in Boston, Massachusetts. They have received commissions from the Cumberland Quintet, The Arc Project, Appalachia: A Southeastern Wind Symphony, and VolOpera, among others. Aaron’s music has been performed at several venues in the United States and Europe, and has had his music featured at The Sewanee Summer Music Festival, College Music Society, and The University of Tennessee Contemporary Music Festival. Aaron holds degrees in composition from Tennessee Technological University (BM) and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (MM/Graduate Certificate in music theory pedagogy). Aaron’s teachers include Andrew Sigler, Greg Danner, and Yoomi Paick.
